Adam Hall · AH Fencing

[ Founder-led marketing ]

Adam Hall, Director of AH Fencing

Adam HallDirector · AH Fencing

The best story in Australian fencing, and almost nobody knew it

The situation

Adam started with $3,000 and a ute and built AH Fencing into a commercial operation. Eighteen months ago his personal page had around 500 followers. The work was winning tenders. The profile was doing nothing for him.

What we did

We backed the man, not the logo. Our crew films Adam doing the actual work: the 6am starts, the crew, the 5km runs, the ice baths. He talks straight to camera about how he really runs the business, the hiring, the margins, the mistakes. We cut, caption and publish it week after week across both his founder account and the AH Fencing brand account.

The result

The founder account went from roughly 500 followers to over 41,000. The business account sits above 5,300. That is an audience of more than 46,000 people in and around Australian construction, built from a standing start, and it belongs to Adam rather than to an ad platform he has to keep paying. When AH Fencing puts up a job ad now, it pulls 1,500 applicants.

“Hipe Media are absolutely legendary. Whether it’s filming us doing a 5km run, jumping into ice baths, or turning up on site at 6am, nothing is ever too much. They’ve done an incredible job capturing the true essence of who our business is and what we stand for.”

Brandon · BL Air

[ Commercial HVAC ]

Brandon, founder of BL Air, on a commercial rooftop in Melbourne

BrandonBL Air · Commercial HVAC

The work was commercial grade. Nothing online said so.

The situation

Brandon built BL Air into a commercial HVAC operation running jobs across Queensland and Victoria. Plant rooms, ducted installs, technical work at a scale most trades never touch. The problem with that kind of work is that nobody sees it. It happens behind a locked door on level four, and when the job is done there is nothing left to show a client except an invoice.

What we did

We film BL Air on live commercial sites in Brisbane and Melbourne. Plant rooms mid install, the crew on the tools, the toolbox talks at the start of the day. Half of it is pointed at the people who award the contracts and half at the people who might come and work there, because in HVAC finding good techs is every bit as hard as finding good jobs.

The result

Three months in, the BL Air account has done 240,665 views and reached 30,589 people, up 1,241 per cent on where it was. Close to seven in ten of those views came from people who do not follow them yet, which is the whole point: it is landing in front of new commercial clients and new techs rather than the same faces every week. Followers have gone from around 300 to over 900 and are still climbing, and BL Air have brought on three new key players off the back of it.

“Mate!! I am so impressed with your service, systems and delivery… Unreal mate! Love your work and service is amazing.”

Robyn Rapley · Kitchen Crew

[ Kitchen manufacture & install ]

Two of the Kitchen Crew team on a live install

Kitchen CrewBrendale · Queensland

They stopped posting for two months. Their customers noticed.

The situation

Kitchen Crew manufacture and install kitchens out of Brendale. It is precise, expensive work that happens behind a closed door in somebody’s house, and the moment the bench goes in the whole process disappears. Their builders and their customers had no way of seeing the standard they actually work to.

What we did

We film install days on live jobs. The team, the process, the standard they hold themselves to, and a fair amount of carry on. Half of it is a running record of how Kitchen Crew work, and the other half is a reference library the sales side can send to a customer instead of trying to describe a finish over the phone.

The result

Over 18,700 views in 90 days and 8,501 people reached, with more than eight in ten of those views coming from people who do not follow them yet. Then came the real test. Kitchen Crew paused content for a couple of months, and people started asking where it had gone. That is the bit you cannot buy.

“We’ve had so much great feedback from family, friends, our team and our builders about how much they love seeing the content… We recently took a break from content for a couple of months and had so many people asking when it was coming back, which was probably the best feedback we could have asked for.”

[ How it runs ]

What a month with us looks like

01

Shoot day

Our crew turns up on your site in our own PPE. One day, filmed around the job. No studio, no actors, nobody downing tools.

02

The edit

Six to ten finished videos out of that single day, cut, captioned and graded, plus stills.

03

Publish

Scheduled and posted across your channels. You approve, we handle the rest.

04

Review

A monthly read on the numbers, what performed, and what we shoot next.

[ Why us ]

Why builders use us instead of a videographer

01

We turn up

A crew on your site, in your city. Not a remote editor waiting on footage you never get around to sending.

02

We only shoot trades

We know what a site looks like, what you can and cannot film, and how to stay out of the way of the job.

03

We run the whole thing

Filming, editing, captions, posting, reporting. You approve, and that is the extent of your involvement.

04

We can run the ads

Content and spend from the same team, pointed at the same thing.

Frequently asked
questions

If there is something here we have not covered, apply and ask us on the call. We will give you a straight answer.

Apply to work with us

How much does it cost?

It depends on how often we film and how much goes out each month. Most clients are on a monthly retainer that covers the shoot days, the edits and the posting. Tell us what you want to achieve on the call and we will put a number in front of you the same week. No lock in surprises and no hidden production fees.

Do you work with construction companies?

Almost exclusively. Builders, concreters, roofers, sparkies, fencers, demolition and fitout crews. We are on site in boots and hi vis most days of the week, so nobody has to explain what a slab pour is or why the crane is booked for Tuesday.

How long before I see results?

You will see content inside the first fortnight. Audience takes longer. Most accounts start moving properly around month three, and the compounding shows up somewhere between month six and twelve. Adam Hall went from 500 followers to 41,000, but that was eighteen months of turning up, not one good video.

What if I have had a bad experience with an agency before?

Most builders we sign have. Usually it is the same story: a contract, a strategy deck, a monthly report and almost no actual footage. We film first. If there is nothing new on your account this month, we have not done our job, and you will know it without reading a report.

What does a shoot day look like on a construction site?

We turn up at the time that suits the job, not the other way around. Half a day to a full day on site, filming the work as it happens plus a few pieces to camera between tasks. No lighting rigs, no blocking access, no standing your crew around. You keep building and we work around you.

What is the process when working with us?

Apply, then a short call to work out what you actually want. We book a content day and come to site. Footage is edited, captioned and back with you within days, then posted to your accounts on a schedule. Then we do it again next month. That is the whole thing.

How do you keep my brand message consistent?

We shoot for you every month, so we learn how you talk and what you care about. Same crew, same accounts, same tone. Nothing goes out that you have not seen, and if something is not you, we cut it.

Do I need to commit long-term?

No. It is a rolling monthly arrangement. Clients stay because the numbers keep moving, not because a contract traps them. Adam has been with us eighteen months on that basis.

What ROI should I expect?

It shows up in three places. Leads that already know who you are before they call. Staff who apply because they have seen your crew, and one AH Fencing job ad pulled 1,500 applicants. And the jobs you win without having to discount, because you are the builder they have been watching for six months.

Why should I choose Hipe Media over another agency?

Because we film. Most agencies sell strategy and outsource the camera, or they ask you to send them phone clips. We are on site with you, week after week, and we have published 867 posts for clients doing it. Scroll up and watch them.

What if I am not good on camera?

Nobody is at first. Adam was not. We do not hand you a script and a microphone and expect a performance. We ask questions on site while you are working and cut the answer down to the good bit. Two or three shoots in you will stop noticing the camera.

Do you use AI to create the content?

No. Every clip on this page was filmed on a real job with a real camera. We use editing software like any studio does, but the footage, the people and the work are all real. In this industry a fake video gets picked in about four seconds.
